Many contact pages make one of two mistakes: they are almost empty, or they feel like a form without context. In both cases too much uncertainty is left to the visitor. A good contact page should make the next step easier, not more ambiguous.
By the time someone reaches the contact page, they are often already evaluating whether it feels safe and sensible to make contact. They want to know what kind of enquiry fits, what happens afterwards and whether the business behind the site feels real and responsive.
